HIORTAX 2005
The HIORTEN-Regatta for traditional sailing ships is organised by Hanse Sail Rostock and Sailfesten Karlskrona.
In 1999 some companies set a sign: They donated the HIORTEN-prize for the ships that sailed in the HIORTEN-Regatta from Karlskrona to Rostock.
Since 2002 the prize money calculation has changed. The total amount of money sponsored correlates with the length of all participating ships = HIORTAX.
The total sum of money each ship gets can be calculated with this index (total amount of money sponsored/total length of all participating ships). The money will be used to purchase material from yacht equipment stores in Rostock to maintain and preserve traditional sailing vessels.
Every sponsor contributing 1.500,00 EUR will be rewarded with a free trip on board of a ship sailing the HIORTEN-Regatta.
