RIDE LIKE THE WIND – a concert for the Hanse Sail

The Hanse Sail the biggest maritime Festival of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and its cutters, museum ships and windjammer attract millions of people since 16 years with a feeling of sailing romance.

Last year an arrangement of first class concerts started within the Sail: “Pop meets classic”. Therefore “Die Prinzen- orchestral” performed with the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock under the direction of Peter Leonard and were heard by 2000 auditors.

In 2007 there will be another special concert for the visitors of the Hanse Sail. On August, 10th the SYMPHONIC POP ORCHESTRA will perform on the IGA Park stage at 8.30 p.m.

Consisting of top-class instrumentalists and soloists with remarkable and voluminous voices of every timbre the SYMPHONIC POP ORCHESTRA will present songs of famous stars like Christopher Cross („Ride Like The Wind“), Kate Bush („Wuthering Heights“), Gloria Estefan („Wrapped“) and John Miles („Music Was My First Love“) as well as scores for example of “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “James Bond”, “E. T.” and “Batman”.

Next to the songs, the orchestra impresses their visitors by a variety of show effects like dance, comedy and a special light show. The audience will get to know an entertainment-show which has never been presented like this before.
